Our History
In the year 1998 the manufacturing unit for human use medicine products was established and authorized. In the same year Vim Spectrum developed its first generic medicine for human use, an antihypertensive drug which received marketing authorisation.
Following massive investments in order to diversify and expand the range of products, the production facility is transferred in July 2002 to a new location, in Corunca on the outskirts of Targu Mures. The new location was designed and built according to the requirements of the international standards of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP). Therefore, Vim Spectrum was GMP compliant, even before this requirement became mandatory for all pharmaceutical manufacturers in Romania (31.12.2003).
In January 2004 the new facility obtains the Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) Certification from the National Agency of Medicines, which confirms the company’s high quality standards.
In 2012 Vim Spectrum inaugurates the Clinical and Analytical Research Center, a modern research facility focused on clinical trials.

In present Vim Spectrum is in major development process aimed to expand the manufacturing technology and increase the product portfolio. The Good Manufacturing Practice certification requires permanent focus in maintaining and improving the quality standards throughout the activities.
